Giant mutant lizard
The October posts describe the fight. They never print a max health number.
Beta 0.9.99.1 on 2 Oct 2026 introduced the giant mutant lizard with the pet system. It lives at every inland lake and at one nest on the coast. At night it sleeps at the nest. Damage you deal is kept in the save, so the posts explicitly allow wearing it down over several attempts instead of winning in one pull.
The attacks named are a bite, a front-claw slam, and a tail sweep. The sweep breaks fences, trees, vehicles and house walls, which is why a lakeside base is a bad idea until the body is gone. At 60% health and again at 30% it roars, moves faster, and hits harder. Those percents are useless as a plan if you do not know the max, and the max is not published. I am not estimating one.
Two to four smaller mutant lizards escort it and pounce when you attack the giant. Drops listed in the post are giant lizard hide, lizard scale, mutant gland, lizard fang, a guaranteed lizard serum, and a chance at a lizard regenerative tonic. The 7 Oct post adds bait. I do not have a bait recipe, only the statement that bait exists and is tied to this animal.
Hide becomes the lizard hide backpack in the gear notes. That pack is compared on the backpack page without a capacity number, because the capacity was not printed. Serum is the reason people farm the nest. I will not rank it against other medicines without a stat.

Questions
Where do I find it?
Inland lakes, and one nest on the coast. It sleeps at the nest at night.
Does damage reset if I leave?
The post says damage persists in the save, so you can leave and come back.
