Privacy policy
Checked against the scripts and loaders this build actually ships, on 7 Nov 2026.
The operator of zedzone.org is the editorial desk that publishes this field manual. The contact is [email protected]. This policy covers this site, not Steam, Discord, YouTube, or an advertiser page once you leave for it.
These pages load their partners by default, before you click anything: Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-4F7T9LGHF5, requested from www.googletagmanager.com) measures page views and traffic sources; Microsoft Clarity (project z9ue3f0szi) records heatmaps and session replays; and Adsterra serves a Native Banner inside the page (NativeBanner_1, unit 32139228) plus a Social Bar fixed to the bottom of the viewport (SocialBar_1, unit 32139229). The YouTube trailer is a click-to-play frame: the page does not request YouTube until you press the play button, and the frame uses youtube-nocookie.com until playback starts.
The first-visit banner explains that loading and offers Accept and Reject. A visitor with no stored choice is treated as granted. Until you explicitly choose, Google's three ad consent signals stay denied while analytics storage is granted. Reject records the choice, withdraws Clarity consent, denies Google's ad and analytics storage, and reloads the page to stop running partner code; later page views skip the GA4, Clarity and Adsterra loaders. Global Privacy Control is treated as a rejection. An explicit choice is remembered for 180 days, and Cookie settings in the footer lets you change it.
This site's own storage: zz_consent in localStorage holds {choice, ads, analytics, ts, days} for 180 days, and zz_socialbar_closed holds 1 after you close the Adsterra Social Bar until you clear it. Those two keys are strictly necessary to honour your choice; this site does not read them to build a profile and sets no first-party cookie for the choice.
Google Analytics 4 uses the _ga and _ga_<container> cookies (about 2 years) and receives page-view and traffic-source events. Its measurement requests go to www.google-analytics.com or regional Google Analytics hosts. Google's privacy policy describes its processing and retention; this site has not independently audited the property's server-side retention setting. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Microsoft Clarity (project z9ue3f0szi) receives interaction and session data for heatmaps and recordings. Its requests use www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and regional *.clarity.ms collection hosts. Depending on storage permission it can use _clck (about 1 year), _clsk (about 1 day), CLID, MUID, ANONCHK and SM. Microsoft documents storage and retention in its linked privacy statement and Clarity documentation. Reject withdraws storage permission and stops this site's Clarity loader.
Adsterra requests its two invoker scripts from bicea.org. Adsterra and its creative demand partners may use their own frames, request hosts, cookies or localStorage for ad delivery and frequency control; the selected creative determines those additional origins, so their names can change per impression. Personalized advertising can be turned off through Google Ad Settings, AboutAds, or Your Online Choices; browser controls and the Adsterra privacy policy at adsterra.com/privacy-policy also apply. Reject stops this site's ad loaders; third-party storage already written remains subject to your browser controls and the partner policies.
Videos use a click-to-play frame. Until you press play, the page does not request YouTube. After you press play, the frame loads from youtube-nocookie.com; Google may then set YouTube cookies and process the request under policies.google.com/privacy. The play button is rendered by this site and makes no thumbnail request to YouTube. Outbound links to Steam, Discord and articles are ordinary links; those sites set their own cookies after you arrive, and this site does not read them.
Legal basis: your consent for analytics, session replay and advertising storage, recorded by the banner and withdrawable at any time; and our legitimate interest in keeping a factual field manual available, secure and free of abuse. There is no sale of personal information. You can email [email protected] to ask what this desk holds about you, to correct a factual page, or to object to processing. The consent record is local to your browser and cannot be read back from our server; clearing site data deletes it. This policy changes by editing this page, and the modified date in the page head is the date of the text.
Do Not Track is not a separate switch here. Global Privacy Control is the signal the banner and the loaders honour.
Questions
Do you set cookies?
This site writes two localStorage keys of its own, zz_consent for 180 days and zz_socialbar_closed until you clear it. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies after the page loads. Adsterra creatives may use third-party cookies in their own frames, which this site cannot read.
Are ads loaded before I click Accept?
Yes. Adsterra (Native Banner and Social Bar), Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load by default on the first view. Reject turns them off and is remembered for 180 days; Global Privacy Control also turns them off. The YouTube trailer loads only when you press Play.
How do I change my choice?
Use Cookie settings in the footer: Accept loads the partners again, Reject turns them off. Clearing this site's storage also removes the remembered choice, so the next visit starts from the default-on state.
